09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Chase continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (93 mph exit velocity) as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

05/23/2021 - All-In Membership - Bowie, MD Chase is a strong 3B/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Chase shows active footwork and gets into a square position. He fields the ball out in front with a firm glove and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He stays direct through the ball with fast bat speed, producing loud contact and great gap to gap power (92mph exit velo). Overall, Chase is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

03/14/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Manalapan, NJ Chase is a 2022 OF/3B. Stout frame athletic build with strength present and projectable frame with room to fill throughout. Primary OF with smooth and efficient actions. Athleticism shows as he makes it look easy. Great initial burst allows him to work behind and through the ball. 1 hand high catch with active feet throughout the process. Clean transfer with a quick release who throws ball into infield at 85mph. Secondary 3B, quick feet allow him to center balls consistently. Keeps eyes behind the ball and fields the ball out front. Quick exchange and ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Shows some carry and accuracy across the diamond from a 3/4 slot with an arm velocity of 85mph. Righthanded hitter begins with an upright and open stance. Glides into contact, stays short and direct to the ball. Linear path through the zone and tries to get extension out front. Gap to gap approach who made square and consistent contact during BP. As he continues to mature and develop, we see him having a promising career at the next level.

10/04/2020 - All-In Membership - Trenton, NJ Chase is an athletic OF/3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Chase shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields ground balls out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he consistently makes on-line throws to his target. At 3B, Chase moves well to his glove side and fields in a square position. He has a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, consistently keeping them on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to great pull side power. Overall, Chase is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/26/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - MD (HS) Chase continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate will on line carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing (84 mph exit velocity), stays inside the ball and utilizes all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

10/26/2019 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Chase is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Working a smoother rhythm into his load can help Chase improve as a hitter. Overall, Chase is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

07/09/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Trenton, NJ Chase continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He work to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. For defensive grade to improve, he needs to catch balls at the highest point and out in front of his body. Feet are active as he works to square balls up but needs to attack balls more, playing through with his body. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Chase improved his foot speed at the event as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.15. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with zip across diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he utilizes his lower half well with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 2 with 4 BB as he shows a solid eye and patient approach.

10/13/2018 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 14-18) Chase is a talented prospect that worked hard and made several adjustments during the Mid-Atlantic Hitting Camp. At the plate, Chase starts in a squared stance, and has a short stride. He hits off a firm front side, creates backside rotation with his lower half, and makes hard contact to all fields. Chase needs to continue to loosen his grip during his load and keep a quiet head. Continuing to attack the inside part of the ball and keeping his head down at contact will allow him to stay balanced throughout the swing. Chase has a high ceiling and we hope to see his progress in the future.

09/16/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Moosic (Scranton), PA Chase is an athletic and talented 2022 Utility prospect. At SS, Chase plays through his back hand and makes the routine play. He's aggressive to the ball and has good footwork on double plays. In the OF, Chase is aggressive to the ball, tries to work behind fly balls, and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing. At the plate, Chase starts in an athletic stance, gets his front foot down on time, and loads his hand back into the drive position. He stays connected throughout the swing, attacks the ball with his lower half, and makes hard contact to all fields. Chase will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/14/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Trenton, NJ Chase showed offensive and defensive improvements during his last workout in Trenton. At the plate, hitting and power grades improved to 40 and 42. Chase is a strong hitter with good bat speed and solid balance. He has an athletic set-up, a short stride, and he finds the barrel consistently. In the OF, Chase efficient footwork, he takes good routes to the ball, and his hands are firm. He makes the routine plays and has and throws with some accuracy to his target.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Chase continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. At SS, he displays smooth actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through more with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable, and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/08/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Chase is a SS/OF who will graduate in 2022. Defensively at SS, he hustles hard laterally and tries to get into a square fielding position on GB's. He comes up with a clean exchange and will make all of the routine plays. In the OF, he takes aggressive routes as he tracks down fly balls. He tries to work behind the ball and has a clean transfer to throw. With the stick, Chase sets up square in the box with fluid rhythm. He swings on a level path through the zone and drives pitches on a line. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
