01/25/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Honolulu, HI Chayse is a 2-way player as a C/RHP. Behind the plate, he shows good rhythm with flexion. He tracks the ball into his mitt and sticks it. At the plate, this righty shows a solid setup with a strong base. He gets back into a loaded position and delivers the barrel on a level path. On the mound, Chayse throws 2 pitches (FB, CB) from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has long back arm action and quick arm speed, filling up the zone and throwing strikes. FB ranges from 65-68 mph and shows arm-side run. Breaking ball has downward tilt and is thrown with FB arm-speed. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
