Arm strength is solid average and he will benefit by getting on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing arm strength, raising velocities. At the plate, hitting abilities and power are solid average as he shows a solid feel for the barrel. He was 3 for 9 at the event with 3 1B. On the mound, fastball shows arm side run on a downhill plane that creates tough angles on hitters. Breaking ball displays an 11/5 shape, tight spin with late break and is his best off speed pitch. Changeup shows a solid feel for with downward action. He throws a knuckleball that is slightly above average. Stock on the mound will rise quickly as more arm strength is developed. With 2 years to further develop, Venezia has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
