05/03/2015 - National Tryout - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA Anderson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a solid runner at 7.29. In the MIF, he continues to show improvements in his defensive abilities, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Hands / feet work well through the fielding process and he plays through with momentum to his target. He shows a feel for the backhand and moves well laterally, displaying range. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, he continues to improvements through a squared / balanced setup. Hands are quick, flashing plus bat speed through a level swing path and aggressive approach. He shows a feel for the barrel with power displaying best to the pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to keep hands inside the ball utilize all fields. With 2 years to further, Chipper has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
