07/20/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Chris is a very talented R/R backstop who has a strong build (5'11"/185). behind the dish, he sits in well with athletic actions and flexion. Blocking technique is solid as he quickly works around pitches in the dirt and centers the ball off of his chest. Transfer/exchange is quick/smooth with strong throws on the bag (pop times as low as 1.93). As a hitter, Chris has a balanced setup with simple/quiet actions. Hands are quick as he whips the barrel on a level path to and through the zone. He connects with strength and has excellent pop to his pull-side. Diehl is an exciting prospect who has a very bright future ahead of him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
