09/13/2017 - Under Armour Fall Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One
Chris is an athletic OF prospect who hustled on and off the field during his time at the Under Armour Fall Classic. In the field, Chris shows quick footwork and is very agile tracking down fly balls. He fields ground balls in an athletic position and comes up to throw from over top, keeping his throws accurate to his target. Chris can improve defensively by quickening his exchange to throw. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load well and comes through with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. Chris can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. Overall, Chris is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Chris continues to show a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with life and on line carry. At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouched / athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop.
06/24/2017 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Chris continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an excellent runner 6.8. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range is outstanding as he utilizes his quick feet well in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic / open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is extremely coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Chris is a lean OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.26. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting abilities with solid power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a plus feel for the barrel. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, he displays smooth / clean actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are aggressive as he works to get behind balls and plays through well with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally, covering ground. Chris has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
