08/02/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Chris is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. On the mound, Chris starts with a simple rock step and works inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. He shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph with good lateral movement. Breaking ball sits from 44-52mph with 11-5 break. Being more controlled gathering to a balance point can help Chris improve as a pitcher. In the field, Chris makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Chris can improve defensively by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and works to barrel up the baseball, using the entire field well. Remaining balanced throughout his swing can help Chris improve as a hitter. Overall, Chris is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.
