08/01/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Petrucci showed as a SS/RHP at the event but currently projects best at SS for the next level. His feet are quick / aggressive as he attacks ground balls, plays through well, and presents soft / clean hands well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. His throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, Chris shows a balanced approach with rhythm. His swing path is level as he makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting / power grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep his hands inside the ball and use his lower half more. Once on base, he uses his foot speed to put pressure on defenses. On the mound, his fastball shows a range of 74-76 mph with slight arm side run / sink. His breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he throws more strikes.
