07/02/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Wappinger Falls, NY Chris is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Chris shows fluid footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with a firm glove. His exchange is quick and he makes consistent throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to strong gap to gap power. On the mound, Chris gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and engages his lower half well. Chris operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph. Breaking ball sits from 67-68mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 61-64mph with arm side run. Overall, Chris is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

03/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Milton, NY Chris is an athletic 3B/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Defensively, Chris shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and great gap to gap power. Overall, Chris is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/14/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Chris continues to develop at a very good pace. Most notably we saw him improve his best 60 to a very impressive 6.86. He also continues to raise his stock with his arm, showing a big increase up to 79 MPH. At the plate he continues to impress with his smooth swing that stays in a great rhythm. He also continues to improve at 3B, his smooth hands work out front allowing him to make a wide range of plays. In the OF, he shows a good pre-pitch and ability to attack the baseball. Chris has been a great player to watch develop so far and we really look forward to seeing continued improvement in the coming years.

08/15/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Uniondale (Long Island), NY Chris continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.12 runner. At the plate, hitting / power potential is now outstanding through a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 69 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight run but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength.

12/08/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Nyack (NYC), NY Chris showed nice upgrades during his last workout with The Factory. He increased radar velocity to 71 MPH, exit velocity to 82 MPH, and hitting and defensive numbers spiked. At 3rd, Chris has good pre-pitch actions, quick feet, and a soft glove. 12/09/2017 - Accelerated Hitting Weekend PHS- Columbia, MD Chris is a coachable player that worked hard to make several adjustments at the Hitting Accelerated Training event. At the plate, Chris starts in a tall and squared stance. He stays behind the ball and makes hard contact with the barrel. Continuing to attack the inside part of the ball will allow him to get consistent extension through contact. Using the lower half will allow his hands to work more freely and drive the ball gap to gap. Continuing to get the front foot down early will allow him to recognize pitches and be aggressive on the fastball. Chris will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
