09/17/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Christian is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2024. His athleticism and baseball measurables jump off the page when you watch Christian play. He works from right to left and creates good fielding angles. Shows good glove actions and his hands work. Made on-line throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 82mph. Has good footwork around the bag on his DP pivots. At the plate he hits from an athletic and open stance. Shows smooth timing to his swing with ability to hit the ball out front. A direct barrel path enables him to hit balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph. With another season of growth and development, we see Christian having opportunities to play at the next level.

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Christian is an OF/SS who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame lean build with strength present and room to add strength throughout. He ran his 60-yard dash in 6.99 seconds. In the OF, showed active/efficient feet, with good agility, and ability to cover ground in all directions. Fields from a square fielding position and fields out front. Works behind/through the baseball with a clean gather off left foot. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and arm velocity up to 83mph into infield. In the infield, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and ability to make routine plays. Fields from a square fielding position with a clean transfer and ability to throw from multiple arm slots. At the plate, he hits from an upright and square stance. Gets his hands separated, with an on-plane barrel path, and ability to get extended out front. Hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during BP. With another year of development, we see this 2-way player making huge strides on the baseball field.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Christian is a coachable 2B prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. In the field ,Christian shows smooth footwork and is agile covering ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making strong/accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated on time and is explosive driving his lower half through. He works through a compact/level swing with fast bat speed, driving the ball from gap to gap. Overall, Christian is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plano (DFW), TX Christian is a 2B prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. At 2B, showed athletic actions, with fluid/active feet, and has good body control at the baseball. Works from right to left and fields with soft hands out front. Has a long/quick arm stroke and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 79mph across the diamond. Made on-line throws consistently, with quick release, and he keeps his feet moving throughout throwing process. Showed good touch of his DP feeds. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Starts with a square glide step, with activated hands, and keeps weight between his knees. Gets his back hip through and has a direct bat path through the hitting zone during his round of BP. He hit line drives consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Christian having a bright future on the baseball field.

09/18/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Christian is a 2B who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame lean build with strength present. At 2B, good prep step to start, with efficient footwork, and showed ability to play through baseball. Works from right to left as he fields from an athletic fielding position with a quick/clean transfer. He has a short arm stroke, with ability to throw from multiple arm slots, and keeps his feet moving on his throws. Made on-line throws consistently to first base with an arm velocity up to 81mph. Showed good footwork on his DP feeds and pivots. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. Starts with a square glide step and lets the ball get deep as he keeps his hands inside the ball. A flat barrel enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 79mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee having a bright future on the baseball field.

08/01/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plano (DFW), TX Christian is a 2B who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame lean build with some strength present and room to fill throughout moving forward. In the infield, he works to center the baseball and showed ability to make routine plays. He fields from an athletic/square fielding position, with a good glove angle, and his hands out front. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base from multiple arm slots and an arm velocity up to 79mph. At the plate, he hits from a tall and open stance. He takes an on-time stride, with a middle of the field approach, and he keeps his hands inside the baseball. Good extension out front enables him to hit line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Christian making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
