01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Christian is an athletic and strong 2020 2-way prospect. At SS, Christian is on time with his prep step, he starts on the balls of his feet, and presents a low/early glove. He has a good first step to the ball, creates good angles, and has smooth hands. At the plate, Christian starts in a tall and open stance. He has a quiet head and looks to make contact to the opposite side of the field. At the plate, Christian has good mound presence, throws his fastball for strikes, and uses his curveball as an out pitch. Christian finds a balance point, separates on time, and works downhill in his delivery. Christian will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/24/2019 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Christian is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Christian shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He gains momentum well on his throws and works to keep them accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with center balance. He is smooth getting into his load and leads well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with good bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Christian gathers over the rubber and works with a loose arm. He stays inline towards the plate and finishes square to his target. Christian shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph. Breaking ball sits from 65-68mph with late 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 74-75mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Christian is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

01/06/2019 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Christian is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the field, Christian shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He fields the ball out in front of his body and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws on-line to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Christian improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He takes a level swing with good bat speed, leading to consistent contact to all fields. Christian can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Christian gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He extends through his release and stays inline towards the plate. Christian shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 65-67mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 71-74mph. Loosening his arm action can help Christian improve as a pitcher. Overall, Christian is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Christian is a tall and athletic 2020 2-way prospect that worked hard and made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. At SS, Christian has an active prep step, range to the glove side, and has a strong arm. He needs to continue to improve his first step to the ball. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Christian starts in a tall stance, loads his hands back, and has good separation. He creates backside rotation and stays balanced through contact. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and hunt the fastball. On the bump, Christian has a clean arm action, drives his back leg toward the plate, and works downhill. He needs to continue to find his balance point and separate on time. His fastball sits 78-82 and his has tight spin on his breaking ball. Christian is a talented player and will continue to improve with experience.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
