01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Christian continues to show as a prospect at the Preseason Rookie event with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth, clean actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range will continue to improve as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 75 mph. Fastball showed a range of 72-75 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with sharp break. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Christian as he enters his freshman baseball season.

07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Christian continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. On the mound, he has a good overall delivery, good arm action, and he rotates his hips through to his target. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 71 mph. Fastball shows good cutting action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through a tall setup. He has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 1B, feet are active as he shows proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

12/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Just like we saw at Pirate City, Christian was a hardworking 2-way prospect that was eager to learn and made major improvements throughout the week. Christian had to deal with a lot of adversity but showed mental toughness between his luggage being lost and getting hurt on the 3rd day. At 1B, Christian is aggressive to the ball and has a clean exchange. He needs to continue to be on time with his prep step, and field the ball in a lower position. At the plate, Christian consistently hits the ball to the opposite side of the field and had several quality at bats during the games. He needs to continue to load his hands back into the drive position, get his front foot down on time, and attack the inside part of the ball. On the bump, Christian pitches out of the stretch position and has a simple delivery. He gets balanced over the rubber, separates on time, and has a loose arm. Mound presence and confidence are two areas he will improve on through experience when pitching. Christian is a hard worker and was the perfect example to his teammates for the definition of a grinder. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/15/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Christian is an athletic and hard-working 2023 2-way prospect that made several adjustments in the weekend. At 1B, Christian is on time with his prep step, presents a low/early glove, and is aggressive to the ball. He plays through his backhand and makes accurate throws. He needs to continue to work off the bag and follow balls into his glove when picking the ball. At the plate, he starts in a closed stance, keeps a quiet head, and uses the middle part of the field. He needs to continue to load his hands back into the drive position, get his front foot down on time, and create backside rotation with his lower half. On the bump, Christian gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and tries to work north to south in his delivery. He finds a balanced position over the rubber, and has a strong front side. His fastball has slight action, his curveball has an early break, and his changeup has tail. Continuing to ride his back leg toward the plate and get extension over the front side will allow his pitches to have more bite. Christian loves the game of baseball and is eager to learn. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - West Harrison (NYC), NY Christian is a lean, athletic, 2-way player who pitches and plays 1B. On the mound, Christian stands over the rubber well balanced, he has a loose/quick arm action, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He separates on time, lands in a square direction, and finishes in a complete position. At 1B, Christian has soft/presentable hands, he fields in a square position, and throws with a short arm action after a clean exchange. At the plate, Christian has a square/athletic setup, a short stride, and good balance. He has a simple swing, a short/direct barrel, and he uses some lower body. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.

1. Quicken tempo
2. Work downhill
3. Arm speed
Defense
1. Backhand
2. Release
3. Footwork
Offense

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
