07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Christian is a SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Christian shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help Christian improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with comfortable hands. He is fluid getting his hands activated in his load and hits against a strong front side. He gets good extension through the ball with decent bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Christian can improve as a hitter by working on a quieter load. On the mound, Christian gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing with a controlled landing. Christian's fastball tops out at 61mph with cutting action. Striding square toward the plate can help Christian improve as a pitcher. With six more years to develop, Christian has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

06/05/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Christian is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2026. In the field, Christian covers ground well and gets into a square fielding position. He fields the ball out in front with soft hands and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws consistently on-line to his target. Attacking the ball more aggressively can help Christian improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and tracks the ball well. He takes a direct swing to the ball and produces solid contact. Christian can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With six more years to develop, Christian has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
