04/17/2016 - College PREP - Kentfield (San Francisco), CA Christian continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. At 1B, he shows a low approach and squares balls up with body. Hands are clean and he shows the ability to pick balls out of the dirt. Presenting his glove more out in front will help to avoid getting the in-between hop. Continuing to increase foot quickness will aid in improving range. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Swing path is level as he shows a line drive type approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 70-73 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball is a solid pitch, displaying 11/5 shape with tight spin and late breaking action, showing as a quality pitch. He throws a slider that resembles his breaking ball and needs to throw harder. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches.
