08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Christian is an aggressive, versatile player entering his senior year. Defensively, he creates efficient angles around the ball, working to gain momentum toward the target with accurate throws. Lateral range has improved, evident from his 5-10-5 times and explosive broad jump. As a LHH, he shows mature instincts in the box and on the base paths. Always thinking two out the box, putting pressure on the defense. He hits with a simple stance and strong backside. Christian is a confident player with a skill set that will help him reach the next level.

03/22/2015 - College PREP - Greensboro, NC Christian is a (5'10"/165) 2-way player as a 3B/OF. With the bat, LHH shows a square setup with good hand separation working back into a strong loaded position. Barrel delivery is quick to and through the zone as he connects and drives the ball to all parts of the field. At 3B, he shows active footwork and moves well into a square fielding position. He presents his glove and fields the ball out in front. Exchange is quick as he fires accurate throws across the diamond. In the OF, Christian is aggressive and is quick to track down fly-balls hit to his right and left. He secures the ball with soft hands, gathers well, and works in-line toward his target. Christian is a versatile athlete who can make things happen in many elements of the game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
