10/24/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Columbia, SC Wyn continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.19 runner. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering ball out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.16 with accuracy / carry (83 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, power potential is now well above average through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel.

02/07/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Myrtle Beach, SC Wyn is a solid, athletic catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Pop times showed in the 2.35 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he works to get his stride foot down sooner to work on time. With 2 years to further develop, Wyn has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
