06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament Christopher continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the All-State event. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing through an aggressive hip turn On the mound, fastball showed a range of 69-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Christopher is a 2026 3B/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At 3B, he showed good range and athletic actions with efficient footwork. He worked to center the baseball and fields from a low/square fielding position with a low funnel. He made throws from a 3/4 arm slot to first base with an arm velocity up to 74mph. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and even stance with comfortable hands. He showed good barrel control as he hit balls to all fields with a with a bat exit velocity up to 64mph during BP. During the games, he reached base 3 times with 2 singles, and a base on balls. A right-handed pitcher, he works exclusively from the stretch. He has a confident mound presence and a good feel for pitching. He takes the proper stride length and gets his chest over his front knee. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 74mph with sinking action, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth, and a changeup with downward action that he throws with FB arm speed. Christopher is a solid 2-way player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
