07/26/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18)
Christopher is a projectable 2022 catching prospect that worked hard all week. Behind the plate, Christopher has a clean exchange, he replaces his feet, and has a quick release when throwing. Gaining ground will improve his throwing efficiency. He has a quiet primary stance, he presents a low target, and works behind the ball. When blocking he needs to continue to anticipate balls in the dirt, lead with his glove, and soften his chest when over the ball. At the plate, Christopher has good separation, he creates backside drive with his lower half, and looks to do damage on fastballs. He has a middle approach and makes contact to all fields. Continuing to keep the barrel inside the ball and simplifying his load will keep his head quiet. Christopher is a grinder and we hope to see his progress in the future.
05/12/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Spokane, WA
Christopher is an athletic and scrappy 2022 Catching prospect. Behind the dish, Christopher tries to work behind the ball and sticks the low pitch when recieving. He leads with his glove and tries to control the ball with his chest when blocking. When throwing, he has proper footwork and throws from a short arm slot. At the plate, Christopher looks for the ball over the middle-inside part of the plate and attacks the inside part of the ball. He has a short bat path, gets extensions through contact, and hits the ball consistently to the pull side. Christopher will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18)
Christopher is a young, strong C/3B prospect who continues to improve his game. He has excellent hand-eye coordination to deliver the barrel consistently and put the ball in play with authority. He is fluid in the box with an activated load to launch his compact swing. He has a strong lower half and rotates quickly to show gap to gap ability. Behind the plate, he receives well with a strong wrist and quiet body, working around the ball. He has smooth footwork to throw and has an accurate arm to second. A long toss program will increase arm strength and lower pop times. Christopher is a talented player with a bright future.
