10/26/2008 - College PREP - Atlanta, GA Chris is a two way player on the mound and at 1B with a lean, athletic looking body that does show projection as it continues to physically mature. Currently, he does project better at 1B where he has average defensive abilities. He is a solid receiver at 1B and showed the ability to pick throws out of the dirt. Range is limited due to foot speed and he needs to utilize his feet more in coming to get the baseball. Arm strength is average and needs to get on a strict long toss program to aid in building more arm strength. Glove action is soft, but deep. Coming to get the baseball with his feet, will aid in presenting the glove more out front. At the plate, Fletcher has slightly average ability with solid average power. He shows a feel for the barrel, mainly to the pull side due to long swing path. The baseball jumps off his bat when centered. Hitting grades will improve quickly with some instruction and adjustments in his approach. On the mound, fastball show arm side run with solid command to both sides of the plate. Off speed pitches are average with changeup showing best. Chris needs to concentrate his work ethic at 1B and at the plate where he projects best. He has abilities with a lot of room to improve.
