Chris showed good ability in his most recent Baseball Factory outing as a C/OF. Defensively behind the dish, he showed a good idea, received with sure hands and anticipated down to block. He threw on-line to his targets and flashed pops in the 2.2 range. In the OF, he worked efficient routes and got into a good fielding position to make plays with sure hands. He threw accurately and with some carry from the outfield, but could use some speed/agility drills to quicken his feet. In all - Kline has another year to add strength and speed to his game for next level play.
03/09/2014 - National Tryout - Hightstown, NJ
Kline has consistency to his game. With the stick, he goes to the plate with a plan looking to hit. He delivers the barrel with quick hands and gets good extension through the zone. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he likes the pitch on the inner 1/2. Behind the plate, Christopher displays quick footwork with the ability to get around the ball in the dirt, centering it off of his chest. Working to follow through and finish on his throws will help to lower pop times. Kline should have success on the diamond.
12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City
Christopher continues to progress in his game. Behind the dish, he has a quick/clean exchange and gains ground toward 2B (lowering his pop time to 2.2). He proved to be a gamer as he caught almost every inning. As a hitter, this righty displays an open stance with good balance. He waits for his pitch and delivers the barrel to and through the zone. More backside lower 1/2 drive will result in increased pop off of his barrel. Kline has a willingness to improve and shows his love for the game.

Christopher is a lean catcher that will graduate in 2015. At the plate is where Kline shows best through an athletic setup as he displays well above average hitting / power grades. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed to and through a short / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength / leverage in his swing with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered to all fields as he works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. He utilizes his feet well, working in line and display a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.37-2.45 as he needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program and work to get rid of the baseball quicker to lower times. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. With 2 years to further develop, Christopher has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
