04/11/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Christopher is a 2021 1B/RHP. Tall frame, and athletic build with square shoulders and projectable frame with room to add muscle throughout. Primary 1B, starts with a good pre-pitch routine. Good rhythm and timing as he fields from an athletic and low fielding position. Good glove actions with ability to make plays in all direction. Shows good carry across the diamond from a high 3/4 slot with accurate and online throws at 86mph. Secondary righthanded pitcher, gathers over the rubber with good balance. Works inline down the mound and finishes in a good fielding position. Clean arm action working to a high 3/4 release point. Fastball was up to 82mph with some tailing action to it through the zone. Flashed a curveball with 10/4 shape and a changeup with slight tailing action. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even and upright stance. Glides into contact, stays short to the ball and repeats well. Showed quick hands with good extension and doesn’t get cheated on his swings. Hard and consistent contact pull side with a bat exit velocity of 85mph. As he continues to mature and develop, we see him having an opportunity to play at the next level.

07/14/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Lake Elsinore (Los Angeles), CA Christopher continues to shine on the diamond. With the bat, this right steps into the box with a purpose. Active/loose hands whip the barrel with + bat speed as he connects with strength and creates good backspin, spraying the ball to the gaps. At 1B, he shows his athleticism and moves well laterally. He works low/athletically to the GB and has soft/sure hands. Landaas is fun to watch and has the skill-set that will make an immediate impact at the next level.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Christopher is a physical IF prospect who showed well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Christopher shows efficient footwork and fields in a square position. He makes a clean exchange and is smooth getting rid of the ball, keeping his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a controlled stride. He is smooth getting into his load and remains centered in his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact to all fields. Overall, Christopher is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

04/14/2019 - College PREP - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Chris is an athletic 3B prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Chris shows efficient footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact and line drives. Overall, Chris has a bright future and the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

10/03/2018 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Chris is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic. In the field, Chris shows active footwork and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from over the top and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He hits from a strong front side and produces solid contact. On the mound, Chris keeps his eyes on target throughout his windup and finishes with his chest over his front knee. He shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph. Breaking ball sits from 66-67mph with 11-5 break. With three more years to develop, Chris has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

09/09/2018 - College PREP - La Verne (Los Angeles), CA Chris is an athletic 3B/C prospect who will graduate in 2021. At 3B, Chris fields the ball in a low position and works to make accurate throws. Chris can improve as a 3B by quickening his footwork. As a catcher, Chris shows efficient footwork and centers the ball when blocking. He sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He throws from over the top to 2B and keep his throws accurate and on-line to the bag. Chris can improve as a catcher by staying low when moving to throw. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He drives his lower half well and shows decent pop to his pull side. Chris can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With three more years to develop, Chris has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
