06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Christopher is a 2B who will graduate in 2022. Medium frame thin build with strength present room to add more strength. At 2B, he shows good rhythm to his actions and active feet. Creates good fielding angles and ability to play through the ball. Fields from a low and athletic fielding position, with sure hands, and a good glove angle. Short arm action, with a quick release, and a high 3/4 arm release point. Accurate/on-line throws across diamond and an arm velocity of 80mph. A right-handed hitter begins with a crouched and even stance. Quiet actions allow him to track pitches well. Direct barrel path who hit line drives to all fields. Competitive at-bats with 2 strikes as he drew 2 BB's in live game action. Also had a single and recorded a bat exit velocity of 73mph. With continued growth and development, we can see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Christopher is a 2B prospect in the class of 2022 that shows great body language and plays the game with a lot of energy. He is a coachable athlete with a good feel for the game and stays engaged. At 2B, he starts in an athletic/ready position with good footwork, getting a great first step on balls batted his direction. He fields the ball in a square/on-time position presenting his hands out in front allowing him to create a quick/clean exchange to release the ball quickly, especially on DP feeds. Throws are accurate from a short arm action (81 mph). At the plate, this righty takes the box in a square/athletic setup with good balance. He stays inside the pitch to spray the ball to all fields. As he gets stronger, he will be sure to produce power at the dish. Christopher has a great attitude toward the game and is a great player to be around.

12/06/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sacramento, CA Christopher is a lean 2B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, defensive abilities are outstanding he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouch setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 2 years to further develop, Christopher has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
