01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Christopher is a solid 5ft 9/155 OF/C in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts with his actions at the BF Preseason All American event at IMG Academy. In the outfield, he shows quick feet and agility. Gains ground to the baseball with proper angles and creates an athletic fielding position. His hands are soft and the ball sticks to his pocket. Gets the ball back to the dirt with clean actions. Throws the top of the baseball to generate consistent accuracy to his targets. Behind the plate, he showed above average receiving skills and the ability to block in game action. Registered a 2.39 pop and proved he can play two positions. At the plate, scouts liked his approach and how he stayed true to it. He hits with great balance and shows the ability to get on base. He collected 4 BB’s and a hit and produced several quality at-bats. Overall, Christopher is a player to watch in the 2025 class.

08/27/2023 - National Showcase - Kansas City, KS Christopher is a 5ft 9/155 C/OF in the 2025 class. Behind the plate, he has a low and square stance. Presents a strong pocket and receives with a quarter turn to steal strikes. His redirection actions are clean and gains a short high 3 qtr. Slot. Feeds are accurate with a quick release and 2.33 pop. He can gain more ground with his right foot to compliment his quick actions. In the outfield, he shows fluid feet and agility. Run well at 7.25 and takes solid angles. His exchanges are quick and arm is loose with accurate feel. Arm strength will need to improve if he wants to continue as a dual player. At the plate, he a simple and repeatable swing. Has a short stride and stays inside his feet well. Path is short and generates consistent contact. Overall solid player with time to grow.

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Christopher continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.19 runner. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.40. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he shows smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind, playing through with his body. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting abilities with outstanding hitting abilities with solid power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing the middle of the field well through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

04/24/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Kansas City, KS Christopher continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.31 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth, fluid actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Behind the dish, he presents a firm mitt, sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.50 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing.

04/18/2021 - All-In Membership - Kansas City, MO Christopher is a lean C/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a firm mitt, sticking balls in the zone. He uses his body through the blocking process, but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in 2.55 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active but needs to work to get behind balls to play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range increasing as he improves foot quickness. At the plate he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 4 years to further develop, Christopher has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
