12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Christopher is an OF prospect that will graduate in 2020. At the plate, Christopher shows a square setup with a slight crouch and comfortable hands. He has a small load with a short stride that keeps his mechanics simple. He works hard to get the barrel on plane as he works to fire his lower half. He shows the ability to make contact to all fields. Christopher was very engaged at the camp working hard to get better. We look forward to seeing his progress.

06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Christopher came to Omaha with an open mind and willingness to work. In the OF Christopher works hard to create good angles and tries to field the ball at the highest point. He showed good glove technique securing the ball and make accurate throws around the infield. Working on OF angle drills will help Christopher up his range. At the plate Christopher has a quiet head and a slightly open stance with high hands. He gets his barrel on plane with the pitch and creates good contact. Working on his strength in the weight room can help Christopher improve his overall game. We look forward to seeing his future progress.

02/09/2019 - College PREP - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Chris is a 2020 OF prospect that continues to improve his skill set in the outfield. He takes good angles while working through the ball, having a clean exchange which gives him consistent, accurate throws to his target. Continuing with his long toss program will increase his arm strength for all positions in the outfield. Chris increased his grip strength (L-105, R-103) and will improve his bat control by getting the barrel through the zone faster. He continues to show a square, athletic setup, open face to the pitcher to see the ball more clearly, and being on time for good consistent contact. Chris has some time to improve his skill set before attending the Omaha World Series in June 2019.

12/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Chris is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City. In the field, Chris makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Chris improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a wide stance with his hands held high. He works to barrel up the baseball and makes solid contact. Chris can improve as a hitter by activating his hands in his load. Overall, Chris is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Christopher continues to show improvements on the baseball diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth/fluid actions. He utilizes his feet in taking proper routes/angles in working to get behind balls. He shows good game awareness and does a nice job of backing up bases. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 4 with 6 BB as he shows a great eye and patient approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Christopher is a hardworking outfield prospect who is a great teammate. In the field, Christopher plays with effective footwork and shows good range. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a high position. Christopher has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job working through the baseball and shows accurate throws with good strength. As a right-handed hitter, Christopher has a crouched stance with a centered balance. He has a square stride and partially uses his lower half. Christopher does a nice job tracking the baseball with his eyes. He has a long swing path and can develop bat speed. He shows the ability to hit the ball to opposite field. Overall, Christopher is a coachable prospect who can advance with his skills with development.

10/21/2017 - FDI Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (14-18) Chris is a coachable, and hard-working player that made several adjustments to improve his skills during the Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, Chris has an athletic set up, and stays balanced through contact. To improve Chris' skills he needs to create separation in his hands, and load on time. Getting the front foot down on time and engaging the backside will help him make more consistent hard contact. He also needs to continue to work on identifying location of pitches and attacking the inside part of the ball. Chris will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/17/2017 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Christopher is a coachable player who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Factory Development Institute National Select Program. In the field, Christopher shows efficient footwork and covers ground well when tracking fly balls. He gets into a low position to field ground balls and plays through the ball well. Christopher can improve defensively by incorporating a long toss program to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets back into his load well and leads with his lower half. He takes a level swing and produces consistent contact to all fields. Christopher can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his swing. With three more years to develop, Christopher has the time and potential to further improve his game.

01/13/2017 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Christopher is a 2020 OF prospect who loves the game and is always the hardest worker on the field trying to get better. He shows natural hitting instincts in the box with good tracking ability and plate discipline to pick out the pitch he can do damage with. He puts together great at-bats, battling all the way and never giving in to earn his way on base. He shows a balanced swing with a strong lower half that generates bat speed and power through the zone, getting extension to create backspin and carry. In the outfield, he always works through the ball to catch it with momentum to his target. He is aggressive working to the ball and does a good job running down balls in the gaps to keep batters and runner from taking extra bases. Speed and agility drills will further extend range and make him a complete defender. Christopher is an interesting prospect with lots of development in front of him that we are excited to see.

09/25/2016 - National Tryout Plus - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Christopher is a young righty/righty outfielder who will graduate in 2020. Defensively, he started in an athletic setup, taking proper angles to the ball, fielding at the highest point and coming up to make accurate throws into the infield. By fielding more out in front on ground balls and long tossing to help with arm strength, Christopher will round out his game defensively. At the plate, he showed a proficiency for using all fields, keeping his weight balanced throughout his swing and his hands inside the baseball. Getting his hands into a load position pre-pitch will help with power to all fields. Only a 2020 graduate, Christopher still has much room to grow in this game and will be exciting to track over the next few years.

09/10/2016 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 14-18) Christopher is a right handed hitter who shows an aggressive approach at the plate. He sets up in a square stance and shows good balance in the box. He gets back into his load well and comes through the zone with some good bat speed, driving the ball to his pull side. Taking a more direct route to the ball and using his lower half more will lead to more hard, consistent contact. As a 2020 grad, Christopher has the time and potential to develop into and exceptional hitter.

07/10/2016 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1 Christopher continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved, displaying smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Hands/feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, hitting potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through an uphill swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/30/2016 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 12-14) Christopher showed a hard-working mentality at the Hitting ATW. Working from a square set up, Christopher will benefit from developing a stride-load complex that will put him in a solid, athletic position to hit while staying loose through the arms and hands allowing the bat path to work directly to the baseball by attacking the inside part. Greater utilization of the lower half of his body will improve connectedness of the swing, unlocking greater bat speed and more consistent quality contact. Christopher improved tremendously throughout the weekend which shows that he is a coachable player that will get the most out of his abilities from continued dedication to his game.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Tiger Town Christopher is a hard worker who plays the game the right way. Offensively, this righty stands in with a square setup with centered balance. He tracks pitches into the zone, swings the barrel through a level path and connects with some strength. He hustles out of the box and down the 1B line - putting pressure on the defense. Working to swing on a more direct path along with engaging more of his lower 1/2 will help to improve skills at the plate. In the OF, Neyhard hustles to track down fly-balls hit to his right and left. He made a couple nice plays and isn't afraid to get dirty. Continuing to develop his foot speed along with strengthening his arm (long toss) will aid in his progression in the OF. This 2020 grad still has a ton of time to develop to get to where he wants to be.

11/12/2015 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Christopher was a very positive energy guy that kept the group in good spirits throughout the week. Defensively, he communicated well and made plays. He needs to continue to work to improve his 1st step quickness/reads off the bat. His improvements from first to last day were tremendous, showing strong aptitude. Offensively, he got his hands activated to hit and delivered the barrel through the zone, staying inside the ball. He got a lot of cage reps and worked hard, making adjustments in utilizing more of his lower half. All in all - Christopher has time on his side to continue improving his game with the drill packages he learned during his time at Pirate City.

09/27/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Scranton, PA Christopher is a R/R 2-way player as an OF/SS. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and hustles to track down fly-balls. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
