Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Christopher is a talented 2-way player (3B/RHP) who has worked very hard and molded himself into a solid prospect. Offensively, this strong righty stands in well with active hands and rhythm to load. He whips the barrel through the zone quickly and squares the ball up consistently (going 2 for 5 with a 2B, 1B, and a walk). At 3B - Christopher is aggressive and comes to get the GB. He maintains active footwork as he moves from right to left through the GB. He has soft/sure hands and funnels smoothly to a clean exchange. On the mound, this righty attacks hitters working the zone and throwing strikes. FB now tops out at 76 mph while showing good sink. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with good action. He finishes complete and in a fielding position. The future is very bright for this 2019 grad.

11/05/2015 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Christopher is a poised 2019 grad with next level stuff. At 3B, he fields the ball with sure hands and comfort and then plays through with momentum to his target. As he continues to work to get lower and play from the ground up, his abilities at the hot corner will improve. On the mound, this RHP works with a quick pace from the hi 3/4 arm slot. He maintains balance throughout his delivery with clean, mature mechanics. His FB sits in the mid to high 60s with a low 60s CH to keep hitters off balance. Offensively, Christopher hits from the right side with authority. His swing shows next level projection as he hits with a smooth, balanced approach to all fields. He attack the FB early in the count and does serious damage in the majority of his ABs. Christopher is a young, talented player with a great feel for the game and has a bright future ahead of him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
