12/09/2018 - College PREP - Thousand Oaks, CA Christopher continues to show a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 77-80 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball is hard, displaying 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Off speed stuff show potential as being quality pitches. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 1B, he displays proper foot work around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through more with his body. Glove is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to increase foot quickness.

10/25/2017 - Under Armour SoCal Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Christopher is an outstanding kid who works hard and gets better every time he steps on the field. He big time arm that he shows off on the mound and at first throwing around the infield. He works well around the bag, holding runners and showing range down the line and to the hole. He works through the ball and changes arm slots when throwing, with quick hands to exchange and get rid of it. At the plate, he is aggressive hunting a pitch to drive with an all fields approach. He shows good rhythm and uses a strong lower half to launch through the zone and extend through contact and show line drive ability. On the hill, this RHP works to get ahead in the count with his fastball that reaches 80mph. He works in line to the plate with a loose arm swing to complement the fastball with an 11-5 curveball and tailing changeup. Christopher has talent at multiple spots on the field to contribute to any team he's on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
