09/13/2014 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 14-18) Commuter Cinque is young, fundamentally sound hitter who makes adjustments well. He displays good rhythm, and balance with a square stride and an activated load. Cinque also displays the ability to use his hands well with a level swing, and a direct path to the baseball. He needs to continue to work on limiting his movement during the load and swing. He also can improve his barrel accuracy by tracking the baseball deeper in the hitting zone, and to the barrel.

04/13/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Grand Rapids, MI Cinque is a young shortstop that has good ability on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he is aggressive to come get the ball after taking a good prep step. He takes good angles and has some present foot quickness. Offensively, he has a good setup with balance, and stays strong through contact. He has good body control, keeps a level path, and uses his lower half well. In all, as Cinque grows and matures over time, he will add strength and even more quickness to his already sound fundamental ability.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
