08/25/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Ciro continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and squares up well with his body. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Working to get stride foot down sooner will aid in improving hitting abilities. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 65 mph. Breaking ball sits from 55-56 mph with 10/4 shape with gradual break and has potential as being a quality pitch. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength.

08/26/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Ciro continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At SS, he displays smooth fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 62 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/16/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Ciro is a small and athletic SS/RHP prospect that plays big. He showed a high baseball IQ and made several adjustments over the weekend at Pirate City. At SS, Ciro plays from the ground up and has good range. He funnels the ball properly, makes a clean exchange, and gets into a good throwing position. At the plate, Ciro starts in an open stance and strides on time. He stays balanced through contact, uses his backside and hits the ball to all fields. Continuing to load his hands back will allow him to attack the inside part of the ball and make consistent hard contact. On the bump, Ciro stays balanced over the rubber, separates on time, and consistently finishes over the front side. Increasing his arm strength and developing his secondary pitches will make him a more durable pitcher. Ciro is a hard working player that was very respectful to his teammates and to the entire coaching staff. He was a pleasure to work with and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/20/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Ciro is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2022. Defensively at SS, he takes active angles as he comes and gets the GB. He fields the ball with a soft glove and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. On the hill, this righty gathers over the rubber with a 3-pitch mix. He delivers a FB, CB, and KN with loose/free arm action and fills up the zone with strikes. As a hitter, Ciro shows good plate discipline. He's a contact type hitter and stays balanced through contact. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Stay loose
2. Work around the GB
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Pitching
1. More lower 1/2 drive off rubber
2. Develop CB
3. Finish strong
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Improve bat speed
3. Lower 1/2 drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
