05/26/2012 - College PREP - Salt Lake City, UT Clay is a 3B/C who will graduate in 2013. Behind the plate, Clay displays a wide stance square to the target. Does a good job gaining ground on his throws with a clean exchange. He can continue to work on looser actions when receiving and creating better angles when blocking. At 3B, feet are fluid with sure hands and a quick/clean exchange. His fielding position is square and low doing a good job of picking out good hops. Clay can continue to focus on fielding the ball further out in front of his body and staying low as he works from his fielding position to his throws. Clay's best tool is that he shows above average hitting ability. At the plate, he shows good power, mainly to the pull side. He does a good job keeping his hands inside the ball with late explosion in his swing. Clay can continue to work on leveling his swing plane and a better use of his lower half making sure he finishes. With consistent work on the areas above, Clay will continue to see improvement in his overall baseball skills
