08/10/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frederick, MD Clover continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.26 runner. At the plate is where he is has improved the most, now displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an open setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

09/01/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Clover ran his fastest 60 to date at 7.72 seconds, raised velocity to 72 MPH, and increased exit velocity to 69 MPH during his last workout with The Factory. In the OF, Clover has good range, he tracks well, and makes plays consistently. He has a presentable glove, a clean exchange, and throws with momentum from a long arm circle to his target. At 2nd base, Clover has active feet, good range, and firm hands. He flashes a nice backhand, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and consistency to his target. Offensively, Clover has a square stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has quick hands, a short/direct barrel, and he can hit to all fields.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Clover showed offensive and defensive improvements during his time in Pirate City. At the plate, hitting and power grades both improved to 30's. He has an athletic set-up, good balance, and a rhythmic swing. He has good hand eye coordination, a short swing path, and he makes consistent contact. In the OF, Clover has efficient footwork, he takes good angles to the ball, and he fields athletically. He moves with agility to the ball, his arm action is short, and he throws with some accuracy to his target. Clover has solid overall athleticism and will improve with age and strength.

03/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Ashburn (DC), VA Clover is a young OF with a thin frame. Defensively, Clover has active feet, he presents his glove well, and fields athletically. He has good pre-pitch actions, a clean exchange, and throws with consistency from a loose arm to his target. At the plate, Clover has a square set-up, a good load, and solid balance. He has good barrel accuracy, works the middle of the field, and uses his lower body. Clover can improve skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
