09/04/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Troy (Albany), NY Colby is a (2023 grad) at 1B. Defensively at 1B, he hustles well into a square fielding position on GB's. He gets rid of the ball clean and has a quick release on his throws. On offense with the bat, this RHH gets back into a balanced load with a quiet head. He swings aggressively on a short path through the zone and sprays pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
