06/10/2012 - College PREP - Medford (Boston), MA
Colby is an athletic 2nd baseman who will graduate in 2013. Defensively, Colby has soft / sure hands, active feet, and he presents his glove well. He has decent lateral movements, makes plays, and gets rid of the ball quickly. Colby has a loose arm action and he throws with accuracy to his target. Defensive grades can get better if Colby can play more low to high and with added arm strength. At the plate, Colby has a square / athletic set-up, a smooth load, and good balance. He has an aggressive swing, fast bat speed, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Staying short to the ball and using more lower 1/2 can help hitting spike.
