10/03/2021 - All-In Membership - Trenton, NJ Cole is a tall RHP/1B prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Cole works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph with late arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 59-62mph with sudden 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 69-72mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Cole shows active footwork and covers ground well. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and makes on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and works through a direct swing, driving the ball to his pull side. Overall, Cole is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
