07/28/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 17U Cole is an OF who will graduate in 2022. Solid frame athletic build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. In the OF, showed ability to cover ground with active/efficient feet. Good reads off the bat enable to take proper routes to balls. Fields from a low and athletic fielding position. Attacks balls and works behind with a clean transfer into a high 3/4 release point. Good carry on his throws and an arm velocity of 78mph into the infield. Would benefit greatly from an arm strength program. Hits from the left side with a solid stance. Solid base with a controlled load who makes hard contact. Rotates hips into a firm front side with a fast bat through the zone. Direct bat path with strength at contact. Attacks the baseball with ability to backspin balls into both gaps. In live game action, Cole reached base 3 times and had a bat exit velocity of 85mph. With continued development, he should have opportunities to play at the next level.

04/11/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Jose, CA Cole is an athletic OF/1B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. At the plate, this LHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He displays smooth rhythm and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap power. In the field, Cole shows active footwork and moves well to his backhand side. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. Overall, Cole is a talented prospect who has the potential to be a real run producer at the next level.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Cole continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He work to get behind and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

01/26/2020 - College PREP - San Jose, CA Cole is an athletic OF prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Cole shows active footwork and fields in a square position. He throws from a 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Beating fly balls to their spot can help Cole improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He hits against a strong front side and sprays the ball to all fields. Cole can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. Overall, Cole is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
