09/24/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Only a 2019 grad, Cole was very impressive at the Under Armour Futures event. The wiry strong 6'2" RHP attacked hitters with an upper 80s fastball that came from a high 3/4 arm slot. He's loose and athletic and employs a repeatable delivery that is rarely seen in pitchers his age. Cole threw two breaking balls - one that was a traditional curve ball with 11-5 shape and depth, and the other was a cutter in the 82-83 mph range that had late horizontal action to it. This UCLA commit is aggressive and confident on the mound, not afraid to go right after hitters. He is athletic enough to be a 2-way player at present, but his biggest upside is on the mound as a RHP.
