07/22/2015 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Cole is a talented 2-way player (OF/LHP) who showed very well during his time at the UASW 16U Tournament. He is a very respectful ('yes sir' 'no sir') player who is coachable and willing to learn. In the OF, he takes a quick first step with solid routes/angles to track down fly-balls with speed (6.98 60 yard dash). He works behind the fly-ball, plays through well and fires strong/accurate throws into his target's chest. A couple of runner's tried to test his arm as he put the ball on the bag and threw them out. As a hitter, Cole shows a balanced setup with patience. He has a smooth swing and connects with pop. On the bump, this LHP challenges hitters and works the zone. FB ranges from 77-80 mph while showing good arm-side run. Curveball has 1/7 shape with sharp action. He is consistent and has faith to throw the CB in any count. He holds runners well by varying his looks. This 2017 grad has a ton of upside and is a solid 2-way prospect who is one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.
