01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Cole a MIF who can swing it. At the plate - he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack - crushing the ball gap-to-gap pop (exit velocity = 85 mph). At SS, he has plus lateral range, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws (91 mph velocity) zipping across the diamond. A projectable MIF - he will play at a high level and make an impact.

01/29/2017 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Cole is a talented SS prospect who has an athletic build and graduates in 2019. As a right-handed hitter, Cole has an athletic setup with a centered balance. He has a smooth load with a square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. He flashes fast bat speed with a direct swing path. Cole has good whip in his swing and gets extension at contact producing consistent contact. He has a middle of the field approach and can drive the ball to each gap. In the field, Cole plays with effective pre-pitch actions and active footwork giving him the ability to cover good ground. He fields it in a square position and has a quick, clean exchange leading into a quick arm action. Cole plays with momentum through the baseball throwing from an over the top slot showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Overall, Cole has skill on both sides of the ball with good upside to develop into an impactful player at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
