Official Scouting Report

02/24/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Sioux Falls, SD Cole is a lean, athletic, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and RHP. Defensively, Cole has good pre-pitch actions, good footwork to the ball, and he keeps the ball in front of his body. He is a coachable young player who has a clean exchange, and an accurate arm across the diamond. On the mound, Cole has good balance, he separates on time, and gets good extension on his pitches. He lands in a square position, and finishes with his chest out over his front knee. At the plate, Cole has an athletic set-up, a proper load, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, makes square contact, and can work the ball gap to gap. Cole can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Defense
1. Fielding position
2. Sooner glove
3. Range
Pitching
1. Arm action
2. Follow thru
3. Long toss
Offense

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
