08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Cole is a coachable OF/LHP prospect who made adjustments well during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Cole covers ground well and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Cole can improve defensively by being more aggressive attacking the ball. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed which leads to square contact and gap to gap pop. Cole can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Cole works fast and keeps his eyes on target. He shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71mph. Breaking ball sits from 60-61mph with 12-6 break. Cole can improve as a pitcher by gathering to a balance point over the rubber. Overall, Cole is a solid prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.
