12/20/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Coleman continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, he shows an aggressive approach through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He tracks the ball well, staying inside, and makes consistent solid contact, showing a feel for the barrel. Power will continue to increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 67-69 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
