01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Collin is an OF/RHP in the 2023 class out of American Fork, UT. In the field, he has great feet and covers his defensive zone well (6.95 runner). Creates angles and fields low. Has a positive glove lane and his exchanges are clean. Has a high ¾ release and generates strong (85 velo) and accurate feeds back to the dirt. Working to become more aggressive will add an explosive element to his game. At the plate, he has a simple approach and controlled movements. Stays inside his feet well and head stays quiet. Hands work (83 exit velo) and demonstrates line drive production. Collin will make a nice addition to a college program soon.

10/19/2022 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic - Upper Class (2023-2024) Collin is an athletic OF who is a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he takes good first steps in reading balls off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate with online carry to his target. At the plate he continues shine through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short/direct/level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 77-78 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Slider is harder with tight spin and short break. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Collin showed outstanding makeup as he is coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/08/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - American Fork, UT Collin is a talented OF/RHP prospect in the 2023 class. In the field, he has great range (7.06 runner) and fluid actions. Feet are quick and takes great angles to the baseball. Has advanced pocket feel and clean exchanges. Has the arm strength to play all 3 spots and is accurate to his targets. Working to engage his lower half more will added to his already impressive arm (84 velo). On the mound, he operates with a strong balance point and repeatable delivery. He commands the FB at 74 with an over-the-top release point. His CB sits 63-4 with 11/5spin and his CH sits 66-7 with sink. At the plate, he proves to be a gap-to-gap hitter with 89 exit speed. The ball jumps off the bat and is quiet and balanced. Uses a direct barrel path with a simple and controlled load. Scouts like his timing and energy. Overall, Collin is a must watch prospect with a very bright future.

07/21/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - Session 2 (HS) Collin is a talented OF/RHP in the 2023 class out of American Fork, UT. Scouts feel he brings great energy, is a hard worker and an exceptional teammate. He won MVP at the IMG World Series. In the field, he has quick feet and makes athletic movements in his ball pursuit. He works well behind the baseball and has a solid 1st step. Plays low to the ground and presents his glove out in front. Can redirect the baseball back to the dirt with power (85 velo) and accuracy. On the mound, he mixes his pitches well and is in the zone. His FB topped at 79 with run. His CB has tight spin and sat 68-9. His CH sat 70-71 with FB arm speed. At the plate, he demonstrates barrel accuracy and can spray line drives from pole to pole. He is on-time with the pitch and his path is on-plane. Has juice (87 exit velo) and makes load contact. Overall, there is a lot to like about Collin’s game and is a must watch in the 2023 class.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
