10/26/2022 - Baseball Factory Best of The West - Upperclass Collin is a 2024 1B/RHP who showcased his skills during the Best of the West Tournament. At 1B, Collin starts on the balls of his feet and works to center the baseball. He tries to create good fielding angles and tracks ball to glove. Made accurate throws to second base from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 74mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance with high hands. He activates his hands and gets extended through the hitting zone. He hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during BP. During the games, he proved to be a tough out as he reached base 8 times with 5 singles, and 3 base on balls. A right-handed pitcher, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and has a good mound presence. A 3-pitch pitcher who works off of a FB that topped out at 74mph with plus command, a 10/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth, and a cutter with good movement. Collin is a 2-way player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/29/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Boise, ID Collin is a RHP/1B prospect who will graduate in 2024. On the mound, Collin operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 68mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 54-56mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 57-59mph. In the field, Collin shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes his stride on time. He gets into his load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, producing strong line drives. Overall, Collin is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
