11/01/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Columbia, MD Collin is an OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the field, Collin shows efficient footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Collin improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance with center balance. He drives through well with his lower half and sprays the ball to all fields. Collin can improve as a hitter by continuing to add strength. With six more years to develop, Collin has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

02/09/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Collin is a young 2-way player who plays 1B and LHP. Defensively, Collin has efficient footwork, he centers the ball well, and fields athletically. He has a clean release and a quick/accurate arm to his target. On the mound, Collin has a clean arm circle, he keeps his eyes on target, and has some glove side lead. He has a controlled landing, he uses his lower body, and competes in the zone. Offensively, Collin has an athletic set-up, a square stride, and he loads well. He has fast bat speed and makes level contact gap to gap. Overall skills can get better if Collin can work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
