01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Colt is a solid, athletic 2025 C/RHP out of Seguin, TX who competed at the Preseason All American Tournament at IMG Academy. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.19 range carry on his throws. At the plate, he displays outstanding hitting/power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. On the mound, he shows a 3-pitch mix, keeping hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 83-87 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Off speed stuff show potential as being quality out pitches. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches through a quick tempo. Colt has potential and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
