10/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Colten is a young, 2-way player who pitches and plays OF. On the mound, Colten has a repeatable delivery, he separates his hands on time, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He keeps his eyes on target, has good glove side lead, and he throws strikes. In the OF, Colten works behind fly balls well and has a low approach. He centers the ball well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency to his cut off man. At the plate, Colten has a tall/square stance, a short stride, and good balance. He has a still head, a middle of the field approach, and he makes consistent contact. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
