12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Conley is a tall/projectable RHP/SS that will graduate in the Spring. On the mound, he utilizes his tall frame and works to stay on top. He throws a lot of strikes and mixes his pitches well. He varies his looks with the ability to hold runners. FB topped out at 76 MPH, and he spun a 10/4 slider from 64-67. Lengthening his arm action and using more of his lower half will enable him to increase his velocity and become more effective. At SS, he shows active pre pitch movements with range to his glove-side. He fields the GB cleanly and gets his shoulders in-line to throw. Quickening his exchange and getting his glove down sooner will create better defensive mechancis. At the plate, he has a square setup with good balance. He flashed some bat speed to and through the zone, creating consistent contact. Loosening up his front arm will allow him to create more extension and finish, which will add more gap power to his game. This projectable righty has skills and should find success in this his senior year.
