06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Conner continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a bright future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.31 and will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front and utilizes his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front.

08/14/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Parker (Denver), CO Conner is a C/SS prospect who will graduate in 2023. Behind the plate, Conner shows active footwork and is agile moving to block. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with a firm glove. He makes a quick exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Keeping his glove down when blocking can help Conner improve as a C. At SS, Conner shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Conner can improve as a SS by making a two-hand exchange on double play turns. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He generates fast bat speed through the zone and produces loud contact to all fields. Taking a shorter swing path can help Conner improve as a hitter. Overall, Conner is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
