08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Conner is an athleticly built 1B/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2018. As a right-handed hitter, Conner has an open setup with his balance in the front of his stance. He has a good load and takes an open stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Conner shows fast bat speed with an in and out swing path. He can drive the ball to his pull side with power. In the field, Conner plays with active footwork, taking effective angles to cover ground in each direction laterally. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a low, athletic position with soft hands. He has a quick, clean exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a quick release showing consistently strong, accurate throws across the diamond. He also does a nice job with double play turns. On the mound, Conner pitches with good tempo and repeats his delivery. He has a clean arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. Conner lands closed to home plate with a controlled landing at the proper stride length. He gets good drive from the backside and effectively uses his frontside glove. Conner throws heavy fastball at 79-81 MPH and a late breaking curveball. He has a good feel for his deceptive changeup. Overall, Conner has talent on both sides of the ball and has the potential to contribute at the next level.
