03/18/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Greenville, SC Connor continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best and he has improved his power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (94 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He is strong and shows a plus feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. In the OF, feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through well with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft and he presents well, utilizing two hands through the process. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Connor is a talented OF prospect who continued to show well at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Connor shows efficient footwork and covers ground well especially to his glove side. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to remain accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and comes through well with his lower half, He takes a Short swing with explosive bat speed which leads to hard contact and good power. Connor is a skilled prospect who will be one to follow over the next few years.

10/29/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Peachtree City (Atlanta), GA Connor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date at 7.1. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays aggressive / clean actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through well with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft and he presents well, utilizing two hands through the process. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet well in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic / open setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He works on time and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Connor has the makings of a special type player as he continues to progress his game.

01/13/2017 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Connor's extremely advanced skills and feel for the game make him a very exciting prospect. His quick hands work well at the dish directly to the ball to make consistent contact and spray base hits to all fields. His strength and incorporated lower half generate great bat speed and power through the zone to impact the ball with authority. His feet are active in the outfield and he works to field with the ball centered in his body. His exchange and release are clean to throw very accurately to his target. Connor has the tools and potential that make him a great prospect for the next level.

10/23/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Peachtree City (Atlanta), GA Connor continues to show improvements on the diamond as a talented 1B prospect. As a left-handed hitter, Connor has an athletic stance with a square stride and firm front side. He has smooth rhythm with his load and does a nice job using his lower half throughout his swing. Connor's swing is fluid as he takes a direct path that is on plane with the baseball. He has quick hands and obtains extension at contact giving him plus pop to each gap. At 1B, Connor is a knowledgeable ball player with a good feel for the game. He plays with active footwork and covers ground laterally. Connor has a clean exchange leading into a long arm action from a 3/4 slot. His throws are accurate and online across the diamond. Overall abilities will improve with work on the following.

07/29/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Connor is an athletic 1B who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing the whole field, gap to gap. At the event, he was 6 for 9 with 2 2B and a 3B. At 1B, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach while presenting glove well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he increases foot quickness. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 5 years to further develop, Connor has the makings of a special type player as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
