09/06/2015 - College PREP - Kansas City, KS Connor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the MIF, he utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in his lateral movements. He attacks balls and moves well laterally, displaying a solid backhand. Feet are aggressive as he plays through well while presenting hands out front. At the plate, power potential has improved as he utilizes his lower half well and has strength in his swing. Hands works through the baseball creating extension as he makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side.

01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Connor is an athletic SS that also pitches. In the infield he fields with soft hands, fields out front, and has quick feet. He has smooth actions in the field and is fluid with his footwork and approach. His exchange is quick and he makes accurate throws with good life. On the mound he is athletic and competes. His fastball stays down in the zone and he pitches to contact with good tempo. His best pitch is his knuckle curve ball that has an 11/5 shape and good depth. With his knowledge of the game, he should continue to improve on the mound and be a nice option at the next level. At the plate he is a gap to gap hitter with an advanced approach. He has a good load, quick hands, and uses his lower half well. He made consistent contact during games and had several line drive hits off of quality pitching.

12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic Connor is a very talented young player who works hard and showed a true passion for playing the game. As an infielder he displayed good body control, footwork, fields out front, and plays through well. Connor can improve by increasing his lateral quickness and continue to polish infield skills. On the mound he gathers well and has good arm action but he needs to time separation better, control balance point and finish pitches. At the plate Connor was very impressive. He showed good balance, bat speed, swing path and barrel accuracy. He can improve by continuing to polish skills and keeping elbow down so the upper body is relaxed/loose and quick.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
